Hairdresser helps suicidal transvestite, delays him with dye to call police for help
Roseville police were called Saturday afternoon to a local hair salon after a stylist reported a client was having suicidal thoughts.
Turns out, the client was a pre-op transsexual, or a man looking to become a woman. But that's not why he got the hairdresser's attention.
In the midst of having his hair dyed, he confided to the stylist he was there with a single purpose.
He wanted to look good in his casket.
The man said he planned to hang himself when he got home.
Distressed, the quick-thinking hairdresser waited until the client was occupied with wet dye covering his hair, and snuck over to a phone to dial police.She asked officers for help. Cops quickly arrived and interviewed the man to make sure he was safe to be alone.
The Insider assumes they gave him options for handling depression. Officers left after he assured them he wouldn't harm himself.

I protest your use of male hormones when referring to a transwoman, the correct pronouns are female.
Please read your AP Style Guide. If you don't have access to one, try the NY Times Style Guide or even the GLAAD Style Guide.
Transvestites and transsexuals are two very different things. Conflating the two isn't fact-based reporting. Also, you either ignorantly or purposefully used the incorrect pronouns. Either way, this piece should be edited to reflect professional news standards.

That is how you properly report a story involving a transsexual. Or are you bigoted and don't want to do your job, because you disagree.
And where is the follow up? Is she safe, or did she make the obituaries.
Think maybe a story about a suicidal transsexual that HORRIFICALLY misgenders her might just cause even more depression? You better damned well hope she doesn't hurt herself.
